Delivery Times

Every product on this site tells you, on its own page, which of the lanes below it ships on. Nothing here is an estimate we invented — these are the windows our warehouses actually work to, and where we can't promise a window, we say so instead of guessing.

The Portico Promise lane

The large majority of what we sell ships from a warehouse inside the United States.

• Handling: 1 to 2 business days
• Transit: 3 to 7 business days
• Tracking: emailed the moment the parcel leaves the warehouse

The Imported lane

A small number of items ship from our overseas warehouse.

• Handling: 1 to 3 business days
• Transit: 10 to 20 days
• Tracking: emailed at dispatch. On this lane tracking can go quiet for several days mid-transit while the parcel moves between carriers. That is normal, and it does not mean the parcel is lost.

Items with no quoted window

Two products — our 20-inch and 27-inch stainless fire pit lids — ship from a US warehouse on the supplier's choice of carrier. Because we don't control which carrier they go out with, we don't quote a delivery window for them, and we don't recommend them as a dated gift. Tracking is emailed as soon as they dispatch.

Holiday order-by dates

Order on or before these dates and, barring a carrier delay outside anyone's control, your order arrives in time.

After 12 December we stop promising Christmas arrival on anything. We would rather lose the sale than take your money for a gift that shows up on the 27th.

If something goes wrong

If a parcel's tracking hasn't moved in seven days, email us and we will chase the carrier. Lost-parcel claims have to be filed within 45 days of dispatch for US orders, so please tell us early rather than waiting it out — past that window the carrier stops accepting claims and our hands are tied.
